GOVERNOR HUMERLITO “BONZ” A. DOLOR
(Oriental Mindoro)
WELCOME TO ORIENTAL MINDORO!
Mabuhay! MAHAL TANA!
With the warmest of embraces and the sincerest of greetings, we welcome you to our island paradise, an island where the quiet strength of the land meets the determined rhythm of progress. What began as a humble island port now emerged as a rising figure in Southern Luzon, guided by its rich history and reaching confidently towards its future.
We are the home to MAHAL TA NA: MA for Mangyan, the island’s first people, quiet custodians of ancient wisdom who preserve their language, artistry, and lifeways, with grace and dignity: HA for Halcon, the towering mountain whose peaks touch both cloud and legend, a place for reverence and challenge that guards the island’s heart: TA for Tamaraw, the rare and resilient guardian of the forests, found nowhere else on Earth, a living emblem of strength, courage and pride: and NA for Naujan Lake, a vast and glimmering sanctuary of life, the nation’s fifth-largest lake, whose wetlands offer refuge to birds, fish, and memory.
Our land is blessed with infinite beauty and bounty from our Almighty.
From the lush rice fields that sway in the breeze to the thriving orchards heavy with abundant tropical fruits, the land continues to nourish both its people and its promise.
At its economic center, Calapan City pulses with vibrating life as it bridges islands, ideas, and industries while growing into a regional hub for commerce, culture, and connection. Yet beyond the hum of development lies the spirit of the island itself, an enduring identity rooted in nature, tradition, and time.
Cascading treasures derived not only from its fertile lands and waterways, but from the abundance of immersive experiences to the serenity of nature and rich vibe of adventure. Beneath clear waters and stunning beaches is a breath-taking view of marine sanctuaries teeming with vibrant corals, supporting a rich biodiversity of creatures brimming with life.
The province takes pride on its vibrant festivals unveiling harmonious cultural music, colorful street dances, and awe-inspiring stories symbolizing the conviviality of the proud Mindorenos and the warmth of their ties to the values and traditions from the island’s long-lived history. Crafts of artistry through the creativity of Mangyan communities in weaving and writing ancient scripts also reflect the island’s timeless ingenuity that continue to enrich the province’s identity. Steeped in culture and home of spirited people who draw inspiration from the past to enrich the present journey of the island in order to flourish and prosper more for the next generation.
This is Oriental Mindoro, steadfast in its roots, storied in its journey, and always in bloom.
Come, see and experience our Province and discover more reasons to love Oriental Mindoro, our beloved province. Our home paradise.
Our Oriental Mindoro.
