The Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) of Oriental Mindoro and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) MIMAROPA will jointly spearhead a Ulang Farming Training on ??????? 6, 2025, at the ??????? ????, ?????????? ??????? ???????, ??????? ????, ???????? ???????.
The initiative, under the leadership of Mr. Orlando B. Tizon of the PCDO and OIC Regional Director Roberto Abrera of BFAR MIMAROPA, is designed to introduce ????? (freshwater prawn) farming as an alternative or additional enterprise opportunity for cooperatives in Oriental Mindoro.
Through this training, cooperatives are expected to gain knowledge on how to develop ulang farming into a sustainable livelihood option—enhancing income opportunities for members while contributing to the province’s goal of food sufficiency.
This undertaking is part of the broader commitment of the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro, under the leadership of Governor Humerlito “Bonz†Dolor, to strengthen cooperative-based enterprises and promote sustainable community development.
Interested cooperative members are encouraged to participate and take advantage of this opportunity to explore ulang farming as a promising enterprise.
