The 2026 Annual Investment Program (AIP) and the 2026-2028 Provincial Development Investment Program (PDIP) of the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOM) were successfully approved during the Provincial Development Full Council meeting held on 23 September.
Provincial Development Council (PDC) Chairperson Governor Humerlito “Bonz†Dolor led the meeting, while Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) OIC Enp Jose Maria S. Dalupan took the lead in presenting the comprehensive contents of said documents.
PGOM AIP 2026 has a total funding of ₱10,926,814,319.00 that will be allocated to four main sectors: General Public Service (₱1.41 billion), Social Services (₱5.08 billion), Economic Development (₱4.14 billion), and Other Services (₱291.47 million).
Meanwhile, PDIP 2026–2028 has a combined amount of ₱26,867,788,622.00 that will also be divided among the aforementioned sectors.
In addition to the approval of these investment programs, six more vital resolutions were passed by the PDC.
These included the support for House Bill No. 4584 by Rep. Brian Poe Llamanzares and Senate Bill No. 1289 by Sen. Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go for the establishment of the MIMAROPA Regional Hospital in Oriental Mindoro, which has been endorsed to the Department of Health (DOH), Regional Development Council (RDC), House of Representatives, and the Senate.
Puerto Galera Cruise Port and Tourism Package for Cruise Passengers proposed construction was also approved, as well as the Naujan Lake Tourism Development Project that has been endorsed to agencies of RDC, Department of Tourism (DOT), Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), Department of Transportation (DOTr), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
As part of his support for civil society organizations, Governor Dolor personally led the provision of financial assistance amounting to ₱100,000 each to Bansud Livestock Multi-purpose Cooperative, Manaul Women’s Program of Mansalay, and the Organization of Fishermen and Farmers of Pocanil in Bulalacao.
Among the attendees were ABC President Board Member Ralph Jonnel Recto, Board Member Ryan Z. Arago, Board Member Roland H. Ruga, Board Member Jomarc Philip E. Dimapilis, SP Secretary Diwata Fetizanan, Naujan Mayor Joel Teves, San Teodoro Mayor Karen Miranda, Bongabong Mayor Michael Malaluan, Roxas Mayor Jerwin Dimapilis, Gloria Mayor Teresita Ong, Socorro Mayor Nemmen Perez, and Pinamalayan Mayor Rodel Magsino, representatives of civil society organizations, Provincial Administrator Atty. Earl Ligorio Turano II, and heads and program implementers of the Provincial Government.
These steps signify the steady and continuous efforts of the Provincial Government towards a more inclusive, progressive, and humane development of Oriental Mindoro.
