Training for Deputation of ENROs, conducted

A three-day training for the Deputation of Environment and Natural Resources Officers (DENROs) was successfully conducted in the province, led by the Provincial Government – Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) from 10-12 September at Mitchell’s Park Resort, Barangay Managpi, Calapan City.

According to OIC-PG-ENRO EnP. Lily May E. Lim, this training aims to strengthen the abilities of Task Force on All Forms of Mining (PTaFoM) members and the Provincial Task Force on Anti-Charcoal Transportation (PTFACT) chaired by Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor.

Members include the Municipal/City Environment and Natural Resources Officers, and representatives from Provincial Legal Office, DENR-PENRO, CENRO, PNP-OrMin-PPO, Philippine Army, Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and other concerned agencies.

EnP. Lim emphasized that after the training, active participation from everyone is expected for the implementation of environmental laws in Oriental Mindoro.

He also mentioned that additional training and submission of other requirements are needed to be deputized as DENROs.

Meanwhile, the presentation of participants for the case scenario simulation was also featured, showcasing the proper method to apprehend violators of existing environmental laws.

An action planning was also conducted for the implementation of programs, and to ensure proper enforcement of existing laws and environmental regulations in the province.
