In commemoration of the Rule of Law Month under Proclamation No. 713, s. 2004, Governor Humerlito “Bonz†A. Dolor led the awarding of Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Golden Pillar of Law Award to outstanding members of the IBP – Oriental Mindoro Chapter during the regular flag-raising ceremony at Provincial Capitol.
IBP Golden Pillar of Law Award is a national recognition for lawyers who are serving for 50 years or more, and demonstrate exceptional service and dedication while continuously promoting the primary advocacies of law including justice and integrity.
Along with the Governor were Provincial Administrator Atty. Earl Ligorio R. Turano, Executive Judge Hon. Josephine Caranzo, and IBP – Oriental Mindoro President Atty. Charlotte Aguba Goco.
The province’s legal luminaries included former Representative Atty. Renato V. Leviste, Atty. Samuel R. Bautista, and Atty. Edgardo Aceron were recognized and received awards for their outstanding contributions and vigor as legal professionals for more than five decades.
Governor Bonz extended his appreciation to what he called some of the finest lawyers in the province, and expressed his happiness of seeing them at the age of 85.
He also wished them to be granted more years of meaningful life and continue as inspiration of the next generation.
Meanwhile, unable to personally receive the same recognition were fellow honorees Atty. Miguel Anzaldo, Atty. Lilia Calabocal, Judge Recto Calabocal, Atty. Sancho Ferancullo, Atty. Lamberto Hornilla, Judge Tomas Leynes, Judge Manuel Luna, Atty. Gaudencia Sadicon, and Atty. Herminio Tolentino.
