Residents from different parts of Oriental Mindoro lined up for the Php 20.00 per kilo of rice of the National Food Authority (NFA) for sale to the citizens of the province conducted in celebration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong†Marcos Jr.’s birthday on 13 September.
Led by the Department of Agriculture (DA) along with the Provincial Agriculturist’s Office (PAgO) under the supervision of Provincial Agriculturist Christine Pine, this activity was supported by the staff from various offices of the Provincial Government, headed by their respective department heads.
A total of 25,534 kilos of rice, amounting to Php 510,680.00, was sold to 2,619 individuals based on the official registration records.
This activity symbolizes the fulfillment of the President’s promise on the availability of affordable rice price for every Filipino family amidst the ongoing price-hike of basic goods.
Oriental Mindoro has the largest allocation in the country with 600 sacks of NFA rice for the said activity.
