Governor Humerlito “Bonz†Dolor personally appeared before the Senate Blue Ribbon in connection with the alleged anomalous complaints in the implementation of various flood control projects in Oriental Mindoro.
Gov. Dolor presented documents and photos of these government-funded projects, which he said now turn into symbols of disappointments among the citizens due to wasted public funds.
Disappointment arises from alleged substandard, overpriced, and unfinished construction of the flood control projects causing further damage and suffering to the residents when flooding occurs.
He revealed this in front of Senator Rodante Marcoleta, Chairperson of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, and other Senators and concerned individuals during the Public Hearing held in the Senate.
Despite this alleged irregularities, Gov. Bonz still sees hope that through Senate investigation, individuals who committed wrongdoings in governance will be held accountable, and the projects that truly provide protection to the citizens of the country, particularly the provinces will immediately be rectified.
