PGOM distributes aids, services to Gloriano on People’s Day

Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOM) led by  Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor distributes, various aids and services during the celebration of People’s Day in Gloria.

The event highlighted the inauguration of the newly renovated Punzalan Gymnasium, a project under the “One Town, One Legacy” initiative of Gov.Bonz  administration under PGOM.

It is also among the first activities for the 75-day countdown to Fiesta MahalTana: The 75th Founding Anniversary of the province on 15 November.

Meanwhile, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and  Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PPESO) led the distribution of financial assistance and other services from PGOM.

Financial aid amounting to Php 212,000 was given to 28 Senior High, 60 Junior High, and several college students, while an  additional Php 60,000 under the Provincial Educational Assistance Program (PEAP) is granted to 30 high school students.

Assessment is still ongoing for 700 more college students who may qualify for assistance.

Printers were also distributed to six (6) large secondary schools, a complete set of sports equipment to five (5) elementary schools, and books for four (4) Senior High Schools.

A total of 162 toilet bowls were distributed to residents across 27 barangays through the Provincial Health Office (PHO).

PGOM also provided  rice, canned goods, and other basic necessities to the first 2,000 families, and 100 sacks of rice for Mayor Tessie Ong’s office to distribute to those in need in Gloria.

Governor Bonz announced Php 1.5 million in funding for each barangay, plus jetmatic pumps, 200 bags of cement, and complete sports equipment sets for the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) in Gloria.

Board Members Roland Ruga, Atty. Fay Ilano-Navarro, Ryan Arago, and PCL Ex-Officio Member Bokal Marion Marcos were present during the event.
